This project was a passion piece that grew from my time living and studying abroad in Barcelona. While it doesn’t connect directly to marketing or tech, it meant a lot to me personally. I’ve always loved traveling, but as far as the cities I've visited, Barcelona felt different. To me it felt full of creativity, contrast, and culture. It’s where I began to take an interest in architecture not just as buildings, but as reflections of identity and intention.

Ricardo Bofill, a postmodern architect from Catalonia, stood out to me for the way his work blends bold geometry with emotional storytelling. Whether through the surreal beauty of La Muralla Roja or the industrial transformation of La Fábrica, Bofill’s designs felt poetic. This project became an opportunity to dive deep into his legacy and how architecture in Spain — and especially in Catalonia — reflects something far bigger than form or function. It reflects memory, imagination, and place.
Project Overview
This was my first time analyzing architecture from both an emotional and cultural lens. I learned how Bofill used form to make statements, how his buildings connect to their environments, and how even a concrete wall can tell a story. It also deepened my appreciation for Barcelona, for Catalan history, and for the role creativity plays in shaping the world around us.
It reminded me that creative work doesn’t always need to serve a business goal. Sometimes it’s just about following your curiosity and seeing where it takes you.
